NAIZA set a record with 14 tournaments in 2024, the highest total in league history. The year began with the NAIZA 57 tournament and ended with a huge event at NAIZA 70. Several of this year’s champions shined not only with their victories but also with their title defenses. Middleweight Ramazan Hasanov defended his belts twice (NAIZA 58 and 66), welterweight champion Olzhas Abzaliev (NAIZA 62) and featherweight king Nurbek Kabdrakhmanov (NAIZA 64) confidently defended their belts.
In addition, NAIZA signed new media agreements, expanding its horizons. Russian TV channel UDAR began broadcasting the league’s tournaments live, and Pakistan’s TAMASHA OOT platform joined in broadcasting tournaments on its territory. It was another step towards international popularity.
2024 was a year of new challenges and opportunities. The league brought to life an exciting project by organizing two seasons of REALITY. The first season, held in Aktau, was won by Yerkebulan Sisenbayev. The second season became even more intriguing – four teams came to the grand stage: “DAR Team”, “ARLAN MMA Kostanay”, “NURBATYR” and “SAQ PRO Team”. These teams fought for the title of Grand Prix winners, fighting not only for gold, but also for a place in history.
This year the second season of the Team Grand Prix was launched, where the prize fund was doubled and amounted to as much as 50 million tenge. This decision gave an opportunity to even more talented teams to demonstrate their strength and skills.
The success of former champion Fanil Rafikov deserves special attention. He not only strengthened his position in the lightweight division, but also gained the attention of viewers outside of Kazakhstan. At the beginning of the year, Fanil defeated Nariman Abbasov in a tournament organized in partnership with AMC FIGHT NIGHTS, receiving belts of both leagues. Later, at the NAIZA 68 tournament in Karaganda, he brilliantly defeated Mohammad Heibati, making the arena explode with excitement.
The lightweight division continued to attract attention this year. Ukrainian fighter Daniil Donchenko won the title at NAIZA 62 and successfully defended it at NAIZA 69, continuing his rising career.
As far as media successes go, 2024 was a breakout year. NAIZA’s social media tournaments have racked up tremendous numbers, with YouTube at 75.5 million views, Instagram at 300 million and TikTok at 138 million. The league confidently continues to expand its audience and solidify its status as a leading brand in the martial arts world.
